Samsung Electronics has announced the launch of Corby TXT (B3210) and Corby Mate (B3313).
Both Corby Txt and Corby Mate have QWERTY keypads being message centric mobile phones for heavy text users. Following the original Corby's hallmarks, these new handset models present a complete makeover for the youth segment, with bold color themes and pop-style curved contoured body design.
"These phones are designed to meet the heavy messaging needs of youth, with their QWERTY keypad for quick messaging access, easy email set up and quick access to popular social networking sites. The focus with the Corby series been to offer our consumers choice: choice in terms of the color of the handset, choice over how they stay connected and choice over the features and functionality that best suit their unique personalities and needs to stay connected," said Ranjeet Yadav, Director IT & Telecom,Samsung Electronics.
The Samsung Corby Txt and Corby Mate feature Buddy List, Chat Style SMS, Easy Email Set up wizard, Instant Chat Messenger and Popular SNS Sites. Users can update current status and access friends’ updates, live feeds Facebook, MySpace and Twitter through Pop-up SNS. The handset also supports various social networking community sites by integrating leading User Generated Content sites such as YouTube, Flickr, Picasa and Photobucket and other popular SNS sites including Facebook, MySpace and Friendster directly into the handsets user interface. User can upload photo and video to these SNS and User Generated Content sites through Communities solution.
Corby Txt comes with quick launch buttons on the front of the handset to provide fast access to key features including a music player, camera and messaging application.
he Corby Mate has an ergonomic slider design designed for optimum messaging, easy mobility and quick touch access to a whole host of functions. The handset is currently available in Titan Grey colour.
The Samsung Corby TXT is priced at Rs. 7900 and the Corby Mate is priced at Rs. 7300.
